The exposition "Dürer and the Renaissance between Germany and Italy" will present about 130 masterpieces from the peak of the German Renaissance, and during its moment of the maximum opening towards Europe, both in the South (Mostly in northern Italy) and in the North (Netherlands).
The collection will be flanked by some significant works by German contemporary artists such as Lucas Cranach, Albrecht Altdorfer, Hans Baldung Grien on one side, and on the other by great Italian artists such as Giorgione, Andrea Mantegna, Leonardo da Vinci, Andrea Solario, Giovanni Bellini, Lorenzo Lotto.
